Production facilities

Luxottica has six plants in Italy, two in China and one in America.

The Chinese plants concentrate on the more labor-intensive product lines, while the Italian facilities specialize in products with a high level of value-added warranted by their “Made in Italy” status.

Overall, Luxottica produces around 30 million units a year in its Italian plants, which is around 65% of its total production worldwide.

The Foothill Ranch facility in California manufactures or assembles most of Oakley’s eyewear products, while Oakley’s second manufacturing center in Dayton, Nevada, produces the frames used in its X Metal® eyewear products. There is a small plant in India serving the local market.
