London has quite a vibrant fashion week. Many daring designers start their journey in fashion here and  established brands have their home here too, so it’s always a must to browse thru  London’s shows and see what’s new in terms of clothes and accessories. This season Brits showed to be quite aligned to trends worldwide and presented more wearable (and desirable) outfits than usual.

One of the most visible fashion signal for fall-winter 14-15 were colors: vivid and bright like summer hues, they brought liveliness to many collections. Orange, pink-red and grey blue are among the most used.

The other strong story were prints: on one side vintage looking patterns, from art nouveau decorations to totem-like symbols, on the other side bon ton floral themes and wallpaper divagations. Mannish pajama looks in printed silk, more delicate feminine dresses, shearling printed in flowers, and all of different pieces mixed in layers (dress + coat + scarf, another trend).

Which kind of glasses can be combined to such compelling looks? Let’s follow the rule of opposites: bold prints call for simple geometric frames in one single color. Here are the shapes: wheel gear, subtle butterfly lineas or a combination of the round + buttefly shape: so a roundish cat-eyed line paired with “instagram filter” lenses: orange, pink, sepia-like, this shades  add color to reality, like a photo filter, to give to winter the brightness of a spring day.
