The Campus Program, aimed at the best recent graduates from optometry schools in Italy, is inspired by a desire to train competent and motivated young opticians. In this increasingly complex market, Luxottica firmly believes that the industry’s future depends on the development of professionalism and nurturing of talent through training, work experience programs and opportunities for specialization.

A total of 80 internships will be offered to aspiring professionals in the sector, who will be able to apply their skills in the unique environment of Luxottica’s retail stores. The Salmoiraghi & Viganò, VistaSì and Ray-Ban stores in Italy will host the interns for six months. This will allow them to work alongside the retail store staff and gain an all-round understanding of the profession, from examinations to sales and direct customer consultations. The most outstanding interns during this period will receive an induction award of 2,500 euros and a fixed-term contract of six months, which may be renewed as a permanent contract.

With the Campus Program, Luxottica Retail Italia is introducing a new series of initiatives focused on deserving and motivated young opticians. The program aims to develop, promote and enhance the optical profession and, in the immediate future, will be systematically implemented throughout Italy. The goal is to attract young talents who will be trained at Luxottica, a unique company of immense international standing, promoting generational turnover within the company and the introduction of new expertise and motivation.

The internal network of talents created by the Campus Program is a fundamental resource for a continued competitive advantage and for the growth of the business and the future of the entire sector.
