Our organization, with its focus on excellence, its heritage of experience, its deep yet wide-ranging know-how and its presence in 130 markets, has always been an extraordinary center of learning.

Our mission, as people that work in learning and HR development, sees us alongside every individual in the organization, seeking every opportunity to realize that person’s potential so that everyone can express their talent. And we want to do this by leveraging the specific traits of Luxottica’s identity and every learning occasion that the organization spontaneously generates.

Luxottica’s story is characterized by a strong propensity for action, for getting things done.
We don’t like abstract learning programs that cage up experience within rigid systems: we love simplicity, immediacy, the achievement of visible results.

We appreciate and believe in the working dimension, in our trades: the key value for us is experience, learning by doing.

We don’t like hyper-structured development programs that lack connection with people’s needs and aspirations: we like to strike sparks of energy and help people plan their personal and professional development in perfect autonomy.

We design our own learning and development activities and place particular emphasis on quality, because we want to give people the best.
Learning Experience” sums up our approach and is reflected in both of our main spheres of action, which are:
• ad hoc projects for the specific needs of areas/functions/businesses;
• the “Fabbrica delle Competenze” (“Skills Factory”).

Ad hoc projects involve listening to and understanding our internal clients’ needs and designing elegant solutions that deliver real results.

The “Fabbrica delle Competenze” is focused on effectively satisfying the learning and personal development requirements of individuals all over the organization. It’s an in-house learning program that takes its cue from the Luxottica Characteristics: imagination, passion, spirit of enterprise, simplicity & speed.

Each Characteristic has a series of activities dedicated to it, on three different levels: awareness, building, mastery.

The “Fabbrica delle Competenze” gives people significant learning opportunities that help them do their jobs better. And at the same time it maintains and builds on the distinctive elements that make Luxottica a very special organization.
