Education and information

Education and training in our organization are designed to reflect and build on Luxottica’s Characteristics.

Imagination, passion, spirit of enterprise, simplicity and speed: learning programs for 2009 are designed to foster awareness of Luxottica’s Characteristics and encourage the adoption of distinctive conduct in all our-day-to day activities.

Learning inspired by those Characteristics is:

• imaginative: feeding the skills needed for today’s and tomorrow’s work;
• passionate: helping to spread and keep alive a passion for learning and self-improvement;
• enterprising: supporting the development of entrepreneurial culture;
• simple and fast: providing effective answers based on full understanding of training needs.

For each Characteristic there are various degrees of development:

• Awareness is the basic level, ie. learning about Luxottica’s Characteristics;
• Building is the intermediate level, ie. consolidation of knowledge and skills;
• Mastery is the advanced level, ie. full development of behavior and skills and the capacity to transfer them to others.
