Dolce&Gabbana Graffiti: sweet romance, downtown attitude

Dolce&Gabbana’s creativity is reflected in fun graffiti writing and vibrant designs in the shape of hearts, stars and coronets scrawled onto the temples and frames of the new #DGGraffiti sunglasses from the Spring Summer 2018 collection. The new eyewear, driven by a modern streetwear style, stands out with its tongue-in-cheek and absolutely unmistakable nature.

All of this is #DGGraffiti, the new Dolce&Gabbana eyewear collection created with millennials in mind, worn and given expression by Italian model Chiara Scelsi.

A streetwear soul with a young, spirited style is found in the decorative details of the hyperfeminine wide butterfly model that combines black acetate glasses with a metal bridge. In the cat-eye version, the graffiti is only found on the temples, just as on the prescription model. For “Customize your eyes” on the other hand, there are circular oversized golden metallic frames, gray gradient lenses, and an unmistakable graffiti design all around the lenses for the attachable clip-on. Lastly, the “Domenico” glasses designed for men feature square frames and golden rivets to complement the black lenses and acetate, where the decorative Graffiti script and designs stand out in all their playfulness.

Two boutiques, one in New York and the other in Mexico City, completely decked out in a graffiti style, have been set up to help express the collection’s core values.
