She was born in 1957.
She was appointed Director of Luxottica Group S.p.A. on April 24, 2015.
She graduated with honors in Economics at Luigi Bocconi University in 1982. Thereafter she obtained an MBA in Finance with Honors, at New York University, Stern Graduate School of Business Administration in 1998.
From 1981‐1985 she was Research Assistant in Banking and International Financial Intermediaries at Luigi Bocconi University and Assistant Professor of International Banking for SDA Business School.
From 1985 to 1986 she served as Consultant at The World Bank in Washington D.C. From 1988 to 1991 she worked in Citibank N.A. as Senior Financial Analyst, Resident Vice President. In 1991 she joined Premafin S.p.A. where she became General Manager and she stayed with the company until 1998 when she joined Borsa Italiana S.p.A, as Senior Director in charge of “Nuovo Mercato”. In 2003 she joined Standard&Poor’s, McGraw Hill Financial Group where she was appointed Chief Executive Officer of S&P CMSI, Managing Director, Head of Southern Europe, until March 2015.
She has been member of the Board of Directors and Vice Chairman of the Italian Chamber of Commerce from 2009 to 2017. She is member of the Board of Collegio San Carlo since 2011 and is founding member and member of the Executive Board of Valore D, association for the promotion of women leadership in Italian corporations comprising 150 major corporations.
She is Independent Director of Autogrill S.p.A.
