The names of the brand news stars for 2010 AD campaign selected through on-line casting
With its new ad campaign, Vogue Eyewear - the young, vivacious, glamorous, trendy eyewear brand owned by Luxottica - invites fashionistas to experiment and play with their style and to become a star of the latest fashion trends.
The new Vogue Eyewear advertising campaign for 2010 shines the spotlight on girls who define their look each day with Vogue Eyewear styles. Six girls will replace the 2009 testimonials, top models Gisele Bündchen and Daria Werbowy, to become the new faces of Vogue Eyewear for its new 2010 advertising campaign.
The girls were selected through an on-line casting at www.vogue-eyewear.com, which began in April 2009 and concluded at the end of June 2009. Six countries were involved: Brazil, France, Greece, Italy, Spain, and USA. Nearly 35,000 girls sent in their photos in the hopes of becoming the new Vogue Eyewear testimonial.
The six winners (one girl per country) participated in several selections: the first round was selected by an in-house jury. Afterwards, the public that voted for their favorite girl online at www.vogue-eyewear.com. Finally, a technical jury composed of photographers, talent scouts, and fashion experts crowned the winners and announced the new faces of Vogue Eyewear for 2010.
Twenty-year-old Alice comes from Como, Italy. Twenty-five-year-old Fatine hails from Paris, France. Los Angeles, USA, is home to twenty-eight-year-old Lydia. Twenty-two-year-old Sara hails from Lerida, Spain. Twenty-five-year-old Aline is from Aracatuba, Brazil. Twenty-four-year-old Niki comes from Peoymno, Greece. In January 2010, top model Daria Werbowy will hand over the scepter to the six girls who will represent Vogue Eyewear worldwide.
Famous photographers Valentina Aimone and Francesco Musati, who have been working as a team since 2000, created the new Vogue Eyewear advertising campaign in September 2009 in Milan.
Fabio d’Angelantonio, Chief Marketing Officer of Luxottica Group, stated, “Vogue Eyewear is the Luxottica brand that has always addressed a young, glamorous, fashion-forward public. After working for several years with international top models, for the first time Vogue Eyewear has chosen six normal girls and transformed them into testimonials, confirming the brand’s desire to be closer to its customers. We are very satisfied by the number of girls who participated in this project. With its new campaign, Vogue Eyewear has fulfilled a dream shared by many young women and offers an experience that will make our brand even more credible and exciting.”
