The magic of fashion shows in that in a week you jump six months ahead: it is suddenly winter (well, it is already winter) but a new one, with new lines and attitudes. This is true for clothes as well as for eyewear. What will glasses look like in the next future? Surely they will have a cat-eye shape. This is the most recurrent frame seen at shows in New York, though with new sizes and contemporary details. Cat-eye eyeglasses have a 50’s retro flavor, but expanding dimensions and experimenting with new materials can make them irreverently new. Colors can give them a new cool attitude, too.

In eyeglasses (often in copper transparent colors) they have smaller and more regular shapes, taking some inspiration from eyebrow line glasses, with a darker upper part and semi-transparent lower part, so that a kind of light shines right under the eye, to give a brilliant look altogether. As for sunglasses, the sizes are often wider both for lenses and frames. Materials can be acetate or metal with special treatments, so to add a special note to ordinary shapes. Colors:  from dark grey satin to caramel, from opaline white to metal.

Feminine and bold, they can be mixed with all kind of outfits, especially the typical themes of winter. Knitted pullovers, severe coats and mountain-like outerwear for a metro-rustic feeling.  On the other hand, they can be  combined with shimmering pieces to limit the latest bling-bling effect and make them wearable every day.
