Pearle Vision’s reputation as a brand that cares for people’s eyes earned it a spot at the top of the magazine’s prestigious “2018 Franchise 500” list

Pearle Vision’s journey of delivering genuine eye care began in 1961 with Dr. Stanley Pearle. He founded “Pearle Optical” in a small office in Savannah, Georgia with five employees and a love of people. His vision was simple - to provide a one-stop, total eye care experience delivered by a trusted neighborhood doctor combined with an extensive selection of quality eyewear. 

In 1981, Pearle Vision, which has since grown into a household name, began offering franchise opportunities to select doctors and opticians.  The brand’s presence today on Entreprenuer’s list of the top 500 Franchises in North America is an accomplishment in itself given that there are more than 3,000 franchise brands in the U.S. alone.  To be ranked as the #1 health franchise on the list is a proud first for the Pearle Vision brand. 

Over the past 12 months, new Pearle Vision EyeCare Centers have opened coast to coast with new franchisees in Washington, Georgia, Michigan and Oklahoma, bringing the total number of locations to approximately 550 through North America. Existing franchisees are deepening their connection to the brand by investing in additional locations. The first two area developer agreements, where qualified franchise investors are awarded the rights to open multiple locations in designated markets, are also fueling Pearle Vision’s growth.

An overall ranking of 72 across all categories on the list which includes McDonalds, Hilton Hotels and Subway, confirms that Pearle Vision’s commitment to upholding Stanley Pearle’s vision is working wonders.
