“SEE IT IN PRIZM”, THE WORLD AS SEEN THROUGH OAKLEY’S EYES

For Oakley, Prizm isn’t simply a technology, it’s a way of life. The new campaign from the brand celebrates it by featuring stories of obsession, passion and vision from the brand’s global community of athletes.

Behind the Oakley Prizm lens technology stand decades of color science research and a theoretical understanding of how the eye works, as well as extensive research and analysis of environments and their own visual demands. Being obsessed by performance and driven by pursuing innovation, the Oakley R&D team in Foothill Ranch engineered a unique lens technology that fine-tunes individual colors to enhance details for an optimized viewing experience, revealing nuances that would normally be missed by the naked eye.

It’s not just about innovation and research, tough. Behind each pair of Oakley Prizm lenses are the eyes of an athlete, from professionals to amateurs. They look for the best visual performance in order to achieve the best performance in sports. Those everyday heroes and their passion fuel the Oakley brand and product design.

The creative inspiration for the new “See it in Prizm” campaign has been provided by some of the world’s best athletes as they answered a very simple question: What do you see through Prizm? Among those athletes there are New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, NFL star quarterback and 2018 MVP Patrick Mahomes II, seven time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi, professional skateboarder Ryan Sheckler and professional surf champion Julian Wilson.

Oakley addressed with the same question (What do you see?) the brand’s global community and kicked-off a conversation on social media. The movement will turn #ONEOBSESSION into a platform where athletes of all levels can interact with Oakley and Team Oakley athletes to share stories about their sports and passions.

The Oakley Prizm lens technology stays at the core of the campaign. A new section of the oakley.com website enables visitors to discover the wide variety of Prizm lenses typologies both in the Sport and the Everyday segment, as well as new Oakley styles coming available with Prizm technology such as Mercenary, Sutro and Forager.
