Gift of Sight makes way into Germany
Beginning this month, a group of students from the FFA School for Ophthalmic plan to meet every Wednesday to prepare glasses for Give the Gift of Sight. This grew out of their first meeting in July. During that session, with lenses donated by Zeiss, the group of 40 students prepared 150 new glasses for children and shipped the glasses to the Agordo Recycle Center. On Wednesday March 18th the Luxottica plant in Agordo hosted Federico Franco, Vice President of the Republic of Paraguay. The main objective of his visit to Agordo was to thank Luxottica for the activity of our OneSight foundation in Paraguay where through specially set clinics our volunteers donate refurbished glasses to local people in need.
