FIVE PAIRS OF GLASSES FOR TWO ICONS: OLIVER PEOPLES AND BRUNELLO CUCINELLI

Five models to celebrate the meeting of two icons of style and elegance: as announced in July, Oliver Peoples and Brunello Cucinelli have come together to produce a refined and exclusive collection which was officially presented during a double event at the Oliver Peoples store in Milan and the Brunello Cucinelli showroom in via Montenapoleone.

This represents the eyewear debut of the iconic Umbrian label from the medieval town of Solomeo which arrives on the southern coast of California to create a design collection inspired by Italian cinema and inevitably characterized by meticulous craftsmanship and a minimalist approach to luxury, values prioritized by both brands.

A perfect example of this is pilot-style Disoriano, a metal frame enhanced by the genuine horn inlay, discreetly engraved logos on the temple tips, and dedicated custom breath logos on each lens. A style with a neutral color palette perfectly in harmony with the timeless creations of Brunello Cucinelli.

Artemio is another fine example of the refined aesthetics of the two brands: an optical model that transforms into a pair of sunglasses thanks to a dedicated vintage-inspired clip, combining Oliver Peoples’ mastery of detail – as seen in the horn inserts and the iconic breath logo which assures authenticity – with the unmistakable style of Brunello Cucinelli.

Designed to dialogue harmoniously with the iconic colors of Cucinelli’s creations, Filu' is bolder and has thicker temples and temple tips in a vintage-style acetate with reinterpretations of the beloved "Monili" motif. Of the various classic options in the collection, the acetate Taupe Smoke also makes its debut.

Meanwhile, the timeless Nino adds a cinematic aesthetic to the collection, somewhere between old- Hollywood and Dolce Vita. This acetate frame is also accompanied by the launch of two alluring new colors exclusively developed for the collection, Olive Smoke and Dark Amber Smoke, for harmonious and original combinations of lenses and frames.

One final addition, an exclusive colorway of the iconic Oliver Sun, completes the collection. It’s a cherished frame, in the new Olive Smoke colorway, selected by Mr. Brunello Cucinelli himself.

Each model is enhanced with exclusive packaging made from sophisticated materials, including the Cucinelli label’s fine wool flannel. It is details like this that demonstrate the depth of understanding between the two brands and how each one has been able to highlight the values that have made them unique in their dialogue with the other label.
