Luxottica Group Announces Audio Webcast of Third Quarter of 2005 Results

Milan, Italy – October 20, 2005 - Luxottica Group S.p.A. (NYSE: LUX; MTA: LUX), the global leader in the eyewear sector, today announced that its third quarter 2005 results investor conference call will be available via audio webcast on Friday, October 28, 2005, at 8 AM US ET (1 PM GMT, 2 PM CET). The audio webcast will be available to the financial community and the media from Luxottica Group’s corporate website at www.luxottica.com/ENG/IR/webcast.html. The audio webcast will be available for replay through the close of business day on November 14, 2005.

Please note that a slide presentation will be available for download from Luxottica Group’s investor relations corporate website at www.luxottica.com/ENG/IR/webcast.html approximately one hour prior to the start of the audio webcast.
