Sustainable Development Goals

Luxottica’s strategic approach to the Sustainable Development Goals

When defining its Sustainability pillars the Group took much of its inspiration from the international context, including the United Nations 2030 Agenda, which established the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be met by 2030, and the Paris Climate Change Conference (COP21), which defined a global action plan to avoid dangerous climate change by limiting global warming to well below 2ºC. In particular, the four pillars of Luxottica’s vision of sustainability are strictly connected to 10 out of 17 SDGs that the Group contributes to in the way it conducts business, aware of the fundamental contribution every company can make in the global transition towards sustainability.
